Olivier Berthod joined Jacobs University Bremen in 2017. He chairs the undergraduate study program Global Economics and Management and teaches organization theory and behavior, public and nonprofit management, and cross-sector partnerships. His research has contributed to several topics in management and organization theory, including resistance to change, reliability, networks, and decision making, with a particular interest in public organizations. His work received funding from the German Research Foundation (DFG), the Peter Pribilla Foundation and the Wagener Foundation.

Olivier Berthod received his doctorate (Doktor rer. pol.) from the Freie Universität Berlin in 2011 and Master degrees in social sciences and management from the Linné Universitet i Växjö (2005), Sweden, and Université Paris Dauphine (2006), France. Prior to joining Jacobs University, he taught at Freie Universität Berlin, Universität zu Köln, the German Center for Aerospace Research (DLR), Toulouse School of Management and ESCP Europe, among other institutions.
